Julia and Cameo

As all of you know Cameo sadly passed away on Monday night. Cameo was an amazing horse. She is and always will be loved by her mom, Julia. I remember one day we turned all of our horses loose in Paradise Valley, and Cameo and Lola would always be eating together. Cameo was a friend to all of the horses, Cameo also had ALOT of energy! At the age of 25 Cameo and Julia would still be jumping barrels on Bareback Wednesday! It didn't seem to slow Cameo down that much! Cameo is a fighter and will always be remembered as Julia's inspiration. Cameo you are very much loved by everyone, and someday you and Julia will be reunited again.

Lola In Her Younger Days

I recently just got new pictures of Lola when she was younger from Carl. In most of the pictures Lola is showing Halter and Classic Head. She is a champion at both. There are also some pictures of Lola's dad, great grandma, and grandpa. And of course, her tail was longer when she was a baby, then it is now!
I am so glad Lola came into my life. And so fortunate to have a horse like her.
My only wish is for her tail to be that long again, and for her to be as fat as she was in these pictures.
Hopefully by the next ETI show, in march Lola will have put on weight, and look as amazing as she does in these pictures!

Last Gymkanah Of 2008!

The Santahaunakanah was the officially the last show to end the great year of 2008. One of the best parts of the show was that Lola was body-clipped and looked amazing. The show started and ended perfectly. One of the highlights was watching Jordan throw the holiday egg into the basket and make it from really far away! She made it in record time! Julia and I were tied for high point. And we both wanted to tie, and end it on that. So both of us won two firsts and two seconds. We thought our plan was going to work but it didn't. In my opinion i think we both should of won the high point. But it didn't matter in the end, because both of us did really good. Coco and Lola both like to go fast! Another highlight was our ride back home. We were passing my the community center and we found that the snow ( fake snow ) didn't melt yet. So we decided to climb up to the top with our horses. I think i fell about 2 times. And slid down and almost fall about 4. It was really slippery! Ned took a lot of pictures. And when we were about to leave, Lola starts peeing on the snow! Remember never eat yellow snow! All in all, the show went great. And it was an amazing day for all of us at the barn.

Lola's Favorite!

As many people know, mine and Lola's favorite thing to do when we ride is jumping. When Lola came 2 years ago, she had no idea what jumping was. That summer I practiced going over small poles with Lola, then finally she caught on. After that summer i would practice jumping with Lola every Friday. Then pretty soon the Summer of 2008 came. Thats when Lola started jumping HIGH! She loved it, and so did I. Lola loves to go fast in courses, so the jumpers course in our ETI shows are always my favorite. Its hard to believe that Lola didn't know how to jump before Nedra got her 2 years ago. A lot of the riders at the barn have taught their horses to jump. Jordan taught her horse Crimson. Ashley taught her horse Sonnet. and Julia taught her horse Coco. Now most of the horses at the plum tree know how to jump. And of course are AMAZING at it! Here are some pictures of Lola and I jumping.

Jumpin Barrels!

I remember this day so perfectly. It was only me and Ashley riding.  Ashley was riding Sonnet, I was riding Lola. Me and Ash had to gallop the minogues trails, and old farm. AND we were having a photo shoot! I remember arriving at Saddle Creek. Seting up the Cavaletties, and barrles. Ned taking pictures of Me and Ash! Soon enough we were ready to JUMP! The order of the jumps were, the combo, the 1 cavalettie, the oxer, and then the Barrel. Lola did everything perfectly, but when she got to the barrel she refused. I took her over it again.. and she did it perfectly. I cant even explain the amount of excitement i had inside. Lola is amazing. Who would of  known, that the crazy halter horse, could turn out to be a Jumping, trail, English, and Gmkanah horse! i love you Lola!

Our 2nd ETI show!!

As you know our first ETI show was the show that never ended! But this one was the TIRING SHOW that never stopped! Out of all of the ETI shows this was is defanitly my favorite! I rode Festivity and she was GREAT! The classes were really cool, because Me, Tallulah, and Hannah were in most of the same classes I rode Festivity in one of the jumping classes and at first she .refused at the jump, then the second time she over-jumped it 3 feet! CONGRATS to Hannah and Tallulah for a great job at the show!! I am very proud of Festivity for everything she does for all of the riders and me!
